Introduction

1stprintedbibleShow me your glory is a unique one year Bible reading plan which features reading the Torah, Genesis through Deuteronomy, according to the Jewish calendar with traditional readings for other Jewish holidays. The entire Bible is read beginning in Joshua all the way through Revelation throughout the year as well. Reading only about 15 to 20 minutes a day will allow you to complete the Bible in one year. This reading plan entails reading about 45 minutes on Saturday, or Shabbat, from the Torah portion. Follow the reading plan with your favorite version, or click the links provided to follow along with the Geneva Bible version to read or listen to the portion for the day. Subscribe by email by clicking the Green icon on the left of your screen to receive these links in your email for easy access from your phone or tablet while you are on the go.
The cry, “Show me your glory”, came from Moses. In response, God met him face to face and gave him understanding  and commissioning to write God’s Word during Israel’s 40 years of wilderness wandering. We now refer to these words, commands and instructions as the first five books of the Bible. It was alive to Moses and has not lost any of its power through the ages. We are privileged to have so many opportunities to study God’s Word today.
This plan uses the Geneva Bible, one of the most historically significant translations of the Bible into English.. It was the primary Bible of 16th century Protestantism preceding the King James translation by 51 years.  It is significant because, for the very first time, a mechanically printed, mass-produced Bible was made available directly to the general public. It even came with a variety of scriptural study guides and aids. The English Separatists (we now call Pilgrims) shared this Bible with family, friends, and neighbors in order to provide the means to transform their lives. The Pilgrims were compelled to separate themselves from the corruption , oppression, and persecution of their nations leaders and build their lives on God’s Word. Their faith and courage along with God’s grace and miraculous blessings brought them to America. They brought with them this Bible. It became the foundation for American life, liberty, and blessing. And remained the Bible of preference in America for many years.
Today, America has strayed far from our spiritual roots and our heritage. It is time to resurrect the passion and faith in God’s Word that these brave Pilgrims gave their lives for to provide the opportunity for liberty, peace, and safety for us, our children, and our children’s children.  listen
